That, combined with user-friendly controls, available 4WD and standard SiteWatch™ Telematics, makes the 580N EP easy for operators of any level and an ideal machine for the rental market. Productivity starts at the structure. A heavy-duty loader with long arms and in-line linkage makes truck loading easier, even with uneven loads. A revolutionary over-center design helps reduce “porposing” and, when combined with the optional Ride Control, provides a smoother ride that retains more material. A 74-hp FPT engine and standard Power Shuttle transmission provide reliable performance in any application and for loading or stockpiling tasks, Comfort Steer cuts turning in half so you can work faster with less effort.
The backhoe delivers nearly 3,000 lb. of lifting force and over 11,500 lb. of breakout, and with the ProControl anti-rebound option, provides responsive precision. Using competitive attachments? No problem. The backhoe has a universal coupler option and a factory-installed thumb is also available for added utility. And like all N Series machines, SiteWatch Telematics comes standard to track and manage machine performance and service needs.
The 580N EP uses a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) to meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards. Good news for operators and owners looking to keep costs down – you get compliance that requires no extra work. No DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) to add. No expensive DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) to replace. No fuel-burning regeneration. Just fill up as normal, get in and get to work.
Available comfort features include climate control, hands-free Bluetooth radio with USB and an adjustable suspension seat with heat. Floor-to-ceiling cab windows and the low-profile hood provide excellent sightlines around the machine and because backhoes work all hours of the night, standard Easy-Flex cab lights give bright, overlapping fields of coverage and optional LED lights provide greater visibility with less power drain. Standard CASE foot-swing controls or available dual-lever mechanical “wobble sticks” provide a classic setup, or opt for infinitely adjustable pilot controls with intuitive fingertip functions, such as two-way hydraulic rocker switches.
The 580N EP wouldn’t be efficient without timesaving serviceability. Daily maintenance is a breeze thanks to grouped, ground-level service points. Swing-out coolers, a flip-up hood, spin-on filters and externally adjustable Extendahoe® wear pads make upkeep easier than ever. Standard battery disconnect and jumpstart terminals provide added security and convenient access, and with the DOC Tier 4 Final solution, there’s no DPF maintenance to worry about.

An order can be placed over the phone, or in person at either of our locations. A driver’s license and security deposit are needed for reservations.
We recommend reserving your item as soon as you know what is desired due to a first come first serve policy. Our busiest months are from May – October. You may reserve the maximum amount of items necessary, and then bring your counts down as the event planning develops.
We typically deliver 1-2 days prior to a job. We typically request a 4 hour window between 7 am – 4 pm Monday – Friday and we do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday. There may or may not be an additional fee for delivery at a specified time, or after normal hours of operation. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
